Catherine Doss is a pianist based in Manassas, Virginia. Recent appearances include the Cliburn Amateur Festival, PianoTexas, and the Washington International Piano Artists Competition, where she was a top prizewinner. An avid chamber musician and collaborative pianist, she has worked with the Wilmington Choral Society, Interlochen Arts Camp, and Pensacola Opera, where she served as Music Director of the Artists in Residence Program. Catherine holds bachelor's and master's degrees in Piano Performance from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music.

Maggie is an accomplished mezzo-soprano who has performed leading and supporting roles with companies including the Victorian Lyric Opera Company, Bel Cantanti Opera, Shakespeare Opera Theatre, Marble City Opera, Knoxville Opera, Asheville Lyric Opera, Brevard Music Center, and the University of Tennessee Opera Theatre. Career highlights include the title role in the world premiere of Larry Delinger's Medea, Katisha in The Mikado, Dorothée in The Anonymous Lover, and appearances in Ruddigore, Hansel and Gretel, Rigoletto, The Ballad of Baby Doe, and La fille du régiment. Equally at home on the concert stage, she performs regularly with Sopranessence, Opera on Tap, and the Friday Morning Music Club, and was a semifinalist in the professional musical theatre division of the 2024 CS Music Competition. A dedicated educator since 2016, Maggie teaches voice and piano while serving as Director of Communications and Outreach for Sopranessence, where she leads publicity and community engagement initiatives.

Un Été Français

With everything going on these days, we wanted to put together a program that is simply enjoyable — music that is beautiful, entertaining, and uplifting. Un Été français (A French Summer) brings together French and French-inspired works for solo piano and voice, with works by Debussy, Ravel, Hahn, Chaminade, Messiaen, Chopin, and contemporary composers.

PotLuck Dinner Buffet. Host will provide two hot hors d'oeuvres & punch for potluck reception during intermission & beginning, when doors open. Guests are encouraged to bring food/wine to share/potluck; if considering a sweet, think about fruit instead of processed sugar. Music begins at 3pm, please be on time 2pm, 2 sets with 1 short intermission, substance one longer set. Guests most welcome and encouraged to bring dish/drink to share/potluck, please consider bringing wine if you use it. Stemware/Ice Buckets/Filtered Water Provided.

All guests will be seated in Music Room. Accessibility note: 3 steps walkway to entry hall, 30 inch doors inside.
