Cellist ABIGAIL MONROE hails from Santa Fe, New Mexico. She is a graduate of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree, as well as a Professional Studies Diploma in cello performance under the instruction of Jennifer Culp. She has appeared as a soloist, chamber musician, and large ensemble musician in venues across the United States. As a San Francisco resident, Abigail enjoys a freelance teaching and performing career throughout the Bay Area as both a classical cellist and vocalist. She holds positions as cellist of the contemporary chamber music group, Ensemble for These Times and Soprano 2/Alto Section Leader at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in San Francisco. Beginning in Fall 2021, she will be joining the cello section of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago as a regular member.
