About

Kevin Germain showcases music of the Mediterranean repertoire on the oud, baglama saz and yayli (bowed) tanbur immersing audiences in timeless Ottoman Sufi mystic - devotional music or hashish inspired Greek Rebetiko from the late 19th to early 20th Century. In addition to being a full time devotee to the art of improvisation called taksim, Kevin regularly performs and sings spiritual Turkish songs called illahis in both private and public settings throughout New England. Performs both solo and with ensembles, such as the Happy Valley Guitar Orchestra, Cambridge Muziki Cemeyti, Euphony Groove and Burhan
