"Beautiful Blossoming"
An improvisation in Raag Yaman (lydian mode in Western music)
This piece features the flute, sitar, and tabla. This piece begins with a duet between the flute and sitar, and then moves into a gentle rhythmic section with the tabla.

Flute Sonata in E Minor, Movement II, Allegro ~ by JS Bach
This is a sonata by Bach for flute & continuo. Sujatha will be playing it as a solo piece, accompanied by flow movement/dance by Miraaj.

"In the Initial Arising"
This piece is in the Persian Maqam Hijaz (similar to the harmonic minor scale in Western music). This piece is a rhythmic piece that features the flute, oud, and Middle Eastern drum. The piece will begin with the flute, oud, & drum, and move into a section with percussion and flow movement/dance by Miraaj.

"Killary"
An Irish piece played on bouzouki by Brandon, accompanied by Alexander on a frame drum.

"The Flower of the Goddess"
This piece is in Raga Bhairavi (phrygian Mode in Western music). It begins with a contemplative duet between the flute and sitar, and then moves into rhythmic and dynamic sections that feature the tabla.

"Golden Light"
A gentle & ethereal piece in Raag Bihag (major scale in Western music)


Historical context

Our music is original and contains improvisations that blend 3 different traditions... Hindustani, Middle Eastern, and Western Classical music. We use scales from Hindustani and Middle Eastern traditions, and the flute blends Western classical elements into the music to create a unique tapestry of sounds.
