Kick off the season with music that looks toward the future. Left Coast Chamber Ensemble celebrates a new generation of composers with its Pathways Program, featuring world premieres from emerging artists alongside Paul Novak’s impossible inventions, winner of Left Coast’s 2025 Composition Contest. The program also includes Thea Musgrave’s atmospheric In the Still of the Night and Mendelssohn’s radiant String Quartet No. 1 in E-flat major—pairing youthful experimentation and fresh musical voices with the brilliance of a beloved chamber music masterwork.

With an ensemble of exceptional Bay Area musicians including Stacey Pelinka, Anna Presler, Phyllis Kamrin, Leighton Fong, and Michel Taddei, this is a chance to hear new music as it’s being created and championed. Come discover the composers shaping the next generation of chamber music—and experience the excitement of hearing world premieres alongside established masterpieces.

Thanks to the Groupmuse Nights Out program, discounted tickets are available for this performance, making it easier to experience this extraordinary program live. We’re excited to bring our community closer to concerts that invite deep listening and reward curiosity — don’t miss this chance to hear a stunning program at a special price.

Children 8 and up are welcomed.
