Ernesto Sánchez Álvarez. I was born in Bayamo\, Granma Province\, Cuba\,
a region deeply rooted in the traditions of Cuban popular music. Growing
up in this rich cultural environment had a decisive influence on my artist
ic vocation from an early age. I am a professional musician specializing i
n electric bass\, with more than fifteen years of experience dedicated to
performance\, teaching\, and music production within the field of popular
and traditional music.\nMy musical journey began at the age of nine at the
Juan Pablo Duarte School of Music\, where I started my formal training in
classical guitar. During this period\, I also participated as a singer in
choirs and in several student-formed musical ensembles. These early exper
iences helped shape my musical sensitivity and strengthened my sense of co
llaboration and ensemble work.\nI later continued my intermediate-level st
udies at the National School of Arts (ENA)\, where I further developed my
technical skills and artistic identity. After graduating\, I began teachin
g music to children\, marking the start of my pedagogical work\, which has
remained an important part of my professional life alongside performance.
\nAt the same time\, I launched my career as a professional musician\, per
forming with various well-established musical groups. Among the most signi
ficant are “Enrique Álvarez y su Charanga Latina\,” the Jaruco Concer
t Band\, the orchestra “Charanga Melodías del 40\,” and the internati
onally recognized orchestra “Manolito Simonet y su Trabuco\,” among ot
hers. Each of these experiences contributed profoundly to my artistic grow
th and to my understanding of the diversity and depth of Cuban music.\nThr
oughout my career\, I have participated in more than fifteen recording pro
ductions with artists from different countries\, working as both a bassist
and music producer. I have also had the privilege of traveling to more th
an twenty-one countries\, sharing Cuban culture and bringing our music to
audiences around the world.\nSince 2023\, I have been living in the United
States\, where I continue to develop my artistic career. In this relative
ly short time\, music has continued to open doors and provide meaningful o
pportunities\, reaffirming my commitment to artistic excellence\, cultural
  exchange\, and lifelong excellence.
