Kev’s Place is excited to announce a scintillating night of original acoustic guitar music. Michael Hewett will be bringing his original guitar compositions and loop/ special effects pedals to dazzle your ears and vibrate with your soul.
In his own words:
“I'm a Brooklyn based guitar/composer and graduate of Berklee College of Music ('95). I've played guitar for over 40 years, have taught the Yogic Arts for nearly 30 and blend these two passions into the music I channel. I've traveled all around this planet and travel through the hidden worlds revealed through deep meditation, ceremonial work and plant medicine.
Music
I compose and perform fluidly on steel string acoustic, Spanish classical and electric guitars, painting the air with the instruments, live mixed effects and live looping.
My repertoire is a combination of original compositions woven together with classical/baroque/romantic period pieces.
I strive to serve the song. Elevating my technique to the place where (nearly) anything is possible to express while at the same time keeping it on a short leash. I lead with emotion and the intention of creating a synesthetic experience within myself and the audience.”

Where does this music come from?
My sets are an experience of Spanish, steel string and electric guitars. I perform a combination of original, baroque, romantic and classical music using a full array of effects and live looping.
