Prai sed by Paavo Järvi for his precision\, charismatic presence\, and ability to unify all elements of a performance\, his artistic profile has been sh aped through work as both violinist and conductor\, including his tenure a t the Mariinsky Theatre\, one of the world’s leading opera houses.\n\nTr ained in the Russian violin tradition and educated in the United States\, France\, and Germany\, Tigranyan began his musical studies under the guida nce of his father\, concert violinist Ashot Tigranyan\, before continuing at the Central Music School of the Moscow Conservatory. Following his relo cation to the United States\, he received the Baroness Leni Fe Bland Found ation Award at the Music Academy of the West in Santa Barbara\, California .\n\nHis studies included work at the Peabody Conservatory with Victor Dan chenko\, in France with Jean Ter-Merguerian\, and at the Hochschule für M usik Karlsruhe in Germany under Josef Rissin.\n\nAs a performing artist\, he has appeared as soloist\, chamber musician\, concertmaster\, and conduc tor\, collaborating with artists including Kun-Woo Paik\, Viktoria Mullova \, and Alexander Toradze.\n\nParallel to his violin career\, Tigranyan has developed an international conducting career\, appearing with orchestras across Europe and Asia and working at the Mariinsky Theatre. His artistic development as a conductor was shaped through work with Neeme Järvi\, Paa vo Järvi\, Kristjan Järvi\, Gennady Rozhdestvensky\, Jorma Panula\, Just us Frantz\, and Colin Metters. During the pandemic\, she created the 100-day online video series Daily Dose of Piano\, which featured musi c from the Baroque to today\, including 14 premieres. She is on the Virgin ia Commission for the Arts Performing Artist Touring Roster.\n\nFrancesca teaches piano and directs the piano pedagogy curriculum at The Catholic Un iversity of America\, and maintains a private studio in Annandale\, VA.
