POSTPONED!! Birthday Bach: The Complete Goldberg Variations

Some of you have followed Arielle Levioff’s progress as she has been climbing the Mt. Everest of the keyboard literature, J.S. Bach's Goldberg Variations, BWV 988. This groupmuse on June 14th will be the culmination of this journey. She will play the complete work in two parts, with an intermission after variation fifteen, which is halfway through, after about 20 minutes. Whether or not you have listened to this piece before, you are encouraged to come along for this glorious exploration of the keyboard (keyboards!), and begin to understand why it is considered one of richest and most enduring musical creations. The pure elation, the depths of grief and despair, singing, dancing, weeping and laughing; it’s all there. Be part of the audience that gets to hear Arielle play it in public from start to finish, for the first time ever! Even better? It is Arielle's birthday!
