About

I am a half French, half Venezuelan pianist who recently moved to NYC to pursue my Masters Degree at The Mannes School of Music with Eteri Andjaparidze. I grew up in a family of musicians so luckily the arts have always been part of my life! Communicating through music is a gift I cherish and will keep sharing for the rest of my life. It allows for new dialogues and sonorites to emerge into this world.

I started piano at the age of three with Carlos Urbaneja at the Mozarteum in Caracas. Then I studied in the conservatory in Paris until 2020. While studying in Paris, I started composing and performing my own pieces, won national competitions and studied jazz. I recently got my BA Summa Cum Laude studying with professor Volodymyr Vynnytsky at the College of Charleston. There, I had the wonderful opportunity to play as a soloist with orchestra under conductor Yuriy Bekker. Finally, I started singing last year and was cast as Suzanna in "Le Nozze di Figaro".

Music

I usually play Western classical music composed between the 17th and 21st century. This includes music from J.S. Bach, Chopin, Mozart, Prokofiev, Beethoven, Rachmaninov, Debussy, Franck, Ginastera, Piazzola, and Schumann among others. Classical music comes from the Western culture tracing its roots back to Gregorian Chant which started in the 9th century. Classical music left a tremendous legacy shaping the arts for the last five centuries and is still created today with composers like Steve Reich, Caroline Shaw and many others.

I also perform my own pieces which are influenced by latin rhythms, 20th century classical music and jazz. Improvisation played an important role in my family. My grandfather as well as my uncles always improvised and composed which greatly influenced me. Moreover, studying jazz and growing up in Venezuela also impacted my creativity and inspires my compositions.
